: : I do know clive and he is the best drummer Iron Maiden ever had!

: Can you see if he will do an interview?

: : You people need to get a life and leave his alone. If you dont know someone and you dont know what they are going through at a given time you should really learn to keep your mouths shut! I dont believe any of you have ever played for Iron Maiden or any other band for that matter, so who made you an authority on what makes a good or should I say a great drummer?

: I have no idea what makes a good drummer and have never pretended to. All I know is what I said. On stage the Mantis lads didn't gel with him. Clive might well be the best drummer in the world but he is a different style to Bruce Bisland the bands normal drummer and they feel more secure with him. Are you a drummer? Do you have any more idea what makes a great one?

: I agree personal lives affect playing and it make make judgements seem hard. I don't see any reason why performance shouldn't be discussed. I have no objections to people saying Mantis are crap and am always interested in why they might think so. I think it makes for good discussion as long as it is not just "They are crap".

: :If the truth was known I can proably play drums better than you can, plus I can keep up with Clive while listening to him play. So before you start cutting him down at least know what you are talking about.

: So you are a drummer? What good does keeping up with Clive do? Are you saying speed is all that counts?

: Do any others have any opinions? I know a lot of Maiden fans are really into Clive.
Damn straight Clive Burr was the greatest fucking drummer Maiden everhad, well he had feel for a start, where is he these days, I'd like to shake his hand, I've been playing the drums for 15 years & hes still one of my favourite drum heroes theres a reason why Maiden never made a decent record after he left. Clive rules & fuck anyone who says otherwise!
