Japanese Promotional Tour Schedule

Last Modified On 21 Mar 2009

I was given this information prior to the Promotional tour. It did change but I will leave it here out of interest.

Only three members of Praying Mantis will be in Japan for the Promotional tour. They are Tino Troy, Dennis Stratton and Tony O’Hora the new Vocalist.

18th June (Tokyo)

Masa Ito will be interviewing Praying Mantis for "Rockadom" on FM Fuji. They will do an item called "Everybody has his own History" and they will be asked to state the "only two albums you will bring to a Dessert Island". The actual program is broadcast at Midnight every Friday. The interview will be played on 19th (or 26th)

The band will then be going to Disc Union Shibuya in Tokyo for a "fan gathering" at 18:00. There is likely to be a 25 minute acoustic set. This will be followed by a game section where the MC asks questions on Praying Mantis history. At 19:00 there will be the chance to get signature and photo with the band. This is timed to last 20 minutes and the event will then be closed.

19th June (Tokyo)

During the day Praying Mantis are expected to be doing interviews with "Hono-o", "Player", "Guitar Magazine", "Archangel" and maybe one other Magazine.

The band will then go to HMV Yokohama for an "In-Store" event starting at 19:00.

The "In-Store" events are likely to proceed as follows (but they start at different times)

Praying Mantis play 3 Songs acoustically probably including "Remember by Name"

This will be followed by a 10 minute question and Answer session.

Then a 20 minute Autograph Session for fans buying the new album.

The Event will then closed. Total Event time 1 hour

20th June (Tokyo)

At 13:00 Bay FM "Power Rock Today" Presents "Praying Mantis Lazy Afternoon". I am not sure where this is exactly (If someone wants to know ask me (Jon Hinchliffe) and I will find out from Tino). This starts of with a Video Presentation of the bands past promo’s

  • Can’t See the Angels
  • This Time Girl
  • Border line
  • Letting Go
  • Only the children Cry
  • Don’t be afraid of the Dark
  • Turn the tables (Live – Presumably from the Captured Video)

The band will then play their Acoustic set. This will then be followed a 20 minute Question and Answer session and then 10 minutes will be spent auctioning 5 bits of Memorabilia

At 18:00 the 2nd In-Store event will be held at HMV Yokohama. See 19th June for details but remember it starts at a different time

21st June (Nagoya)

At 16:30 a 3rd In-Store event will be held at Tower Kintetsu Passe, Nagoya. See 19th June for details but remember it starts at a different time

22nd June (Tokyo)

It is possible the there will be a recording of "Rock City" with Masa ITO. "Rock City" is "the HR/HM program hosted by Masa ITO and broadcast by "TVK" every Tuesday at 23:00."

23rd June (Osaka)

The day here is still being planned.

At 19:00 the last In-Store event is to be held at Tower Umeda, Osaka. See 19th June for details
