I think it is more the case that there are better drummers about. Certainly Dave Potts was a better drummer and was able to show Clive lots of things. It is my understanding that Bruce Bisland is too. : : I think Clive didn't go down well with the band in 95 because he hadn't learned all the drums parts perfectly. In the video it is possible to see he had clipboards with drum patterns on written out on them. This didn't inspire confidence in the rest of the band that he would play well regardless of weather he did or not. I do know clive and he is the best drummer Iron Maiden ever had! You people need to get a life and leave his alone. If you dont know someone and you dont know what they are going through at a given time you should really learn to keep your mouths shut! I dont believe any of you have ever played for Iron Maiden or any other band for that matter, so who made you an authority on what makes a good or should I say a great drummer? If the truth was known I can proably play drums better than you can, plus I can keep up with Clive while listening to him play. So before you start cutting him down at least know what you are talking about.
