The Praying Mantis celebrating 30 years this year since it began its career in 1974 in England by brothers Chris Troy (Bass & Vocals) and Tino Troy (Guitars & Vocals) and while he was in college. Influenced by the times in England, a current that swept away the rhythm of the entire Heavy Metal music scene, their music focused on pure NWOBHM sounds.
In 1980 he signed to Arista Records and made one of the most commercially successful album of their career, the “Time Tells No Lies” which reached # 60 in the British charts. So far they have released nine studio albums to last, the “Sanctuary” 2009.
With the current number of changes in the band Line up the Praying Mantis is now composed of:
Chris Troy – Bass & Vocals
Tino Troy – Guitars & Vocals
Andy Burgess – Guitars
Benjy Reid – Drums
Mike Freeland – Vocals
With this composition we find a selection of songs, a total of five, allowing the old to remember the good old times, but young people find and discover the Praying Mantis and the roots of Heavy Metal music scene as it has been formed .
The Metalmorphosis clearly did not come to add something new in her career, but it is an anniversary and highly collectable piece which should not be missed. You can purchase or through Amazon or by visiting the website of the Praying Mantis. The price is just 5.50 euros. Do not miss
